The country surrounding Wandong/Heathcote Junction is the traditional land of two clans of the Eastern Kulin Nations - the Taungurung and Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people. A First Nations artist could be engaged to create a mural that, for example, refers to the importance of the spirits of Bundjil (wedge-tailed eagle) or Waang (crow) for First Nations people of this area.
