THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT - LOCAL FLORA
The Victorian Floral emblem, Common Heath (Epacris impressa) is found in many parts of WHJ (Top right in images).
Other significant plants include The Myrnong (Yam Daisy) Microseris lanceolata, a staple starchy vegetable for the Taungurung and Wurundjeri people (TL).
Also Sticky Everlasting (Xerochrysum viscosum) (BR) and Chocolate Lilies (Anthropopdium strictum) (BL).
