Structure Planning for Mitchell Shire's Future

Council is preparing structure plans to guide the townships of Kilmore, Seymour, Wandong and Heathcote Junction into the future.

This is in addition to the Wallan Structure Plan which was adopted by Council in March 2015.

    The Broadford Structure Plan is currently being prepared.

    The Kilmore Structure Plan was adopted in August 2016 (including the Kilmore Town Centre Plan).
    We are currently in the formal stage of amending the Mitchell Shire Planning Scheme to reflect the proposed changes.

    Consultation has closed on the draft Seymour Structure Plan. Submissions are now being considered.

    Wallan 3756
    The Wallan Structure Plan was adopted in 2015 and we have since completed a Town Centre Masterplan and Urban Design Framework. We have received funding for some improvements to the town centre and expect to complete construction of the Wallan Town Heart project in 2018.

    Wandong and Heathcote Junction 3758


    The Wandong and Heathcote Junction Structure Plan was adopted in August 2016. We are currently in the formal stage of amending the Mitchell Shire Planning Scheme to reflect the proposed changes.
