Question Time

Consultation has concluded

Did you know there is a dedicated monthly forum where you can pose a question to Council as part of our formal Council meeting cycle?

Since February 2015, the Hearings Committee has been held once a month, with up to 30 minutes for public question time, as well as the opportunity to make presentations and submissions to Council.

In a bid to increase community awareness of the meeting and encourage more questions, Council has renamed it to the Community Questions and Hearings Committee.

You can now lodge your question online via the Mitchell Shire Council Website (or if you prefer hard copy, you can download a Question Submission Form or pick up a hard copy from a Customer and Library Service Centre.

The person who submitted the question needs to be present in the gallery at the time when the question is due to be read unless, they are not able to attend due to exceptional circumstances.

Please remember that there is a limit to two questions per submission, and your questions must be received before 12 noon on the Friday prior to the Community Questions and Hearings Committee Meeting.

Any questions received after this time held over until the next meeting, which occur monthly.
