Hadfield Park Public Safety Initiatives
Consultation has concluded
Mitchell Shire Council is committed to creating a safer and more involved community by working with all stakeholders, including Victoria Police, the community, community groups, and agencies, to improve public safety, and enhance community perceptions of safety in public spaces. We are looking to activate public spaces to encourage greater community use for all members of the community.
An opportunity to apply for a Department of Justice grant has arisen, which funds projects to implement measures to improve public safety and security infrastructure, and to increase community perceptions of safety in public spaces.
We recognise the benefits in consulting with the community prior to embarking on this project; this is where you come in. We want your views and opinions on the proposed safety measures we would like to implement, should we be successful in the grant funding (including the installation of CCTV and public safety lighting at Hadfield Park). Your views will inform the completion of the grant application, ensuring that we are requesting funding for activities and infrastructure that the community wants and needs.
Please register or sign in and take up to 10 minutes to complete this short survey to share your views on public safety at Hadfield Park, and provide suggestions on initiatives that could be implemented to increase public safety.
The survey will be open until 10th August 2016.
