Council Occupancy Policies
We’re seeking feedback on two draft policies that guide how Council leases, licenses and hires community and sports facilities. Your input will help ensure these policies are fair, transparent and practical for organisations and community groups who use Council‑managed spaces.
The draft policies are:
- Lease and Licence Policy – covers ongoing, formal arrangements where a person or organisation is granted the right to occupy or use Council land or buildings.
- Community and Sports Facilities Subsidies Policy – covers casual, regular or seasonal hire of Council‑managed facilities by individuals or organisations.
These policies aim to:
- Improve consistency, transparency, and fairness across Council-managed facilities.
- Support community equity and inclusion by ensuring clear and fair arrangements for leases, licences, and subsidies.
