Consultation has concluded

Endorsed Wallan Structure Plan


The Wallan Structure Plan was unanimously endorsed at the Council meeting on 14 December 2015.

Implementation of the structure plan will now start by way of a Planning Scheme Amendment that will adopt the structure plan into the Mitchell Planning Scheme as a reference document.


The project team would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who got involved with the project, whether online, in person, or by post/ e-mail.

    A plan to renew Wallan's town centre

    We want to renew and improve the town centre so that it is thriving space with activated streets during both the day and night. We also want to ensure that there is sufficient retail and commercial spaces within the town centre to cater for a population of 50,000 people
