Seymour Community Wellbeing Hub - Concept Design

About Seymour Community Wellbeing Hub Project

The Seymour Community Wellbeing Hub will provide health, wellbeing and educational spaces. The services are planned to include:

  • Community mental health
  • Veterans’ mental health and wellbeing
  • Centre Against Sexual Assault
  • Dental service
  • Health promotion
  • Primary health
  • Library, learning and Council customer services
  • Function and meeting spaces

Bringing this project to life

The original concept for the hub was developed and supported by the community through the Victorian Government’s ‘Seymour Revitalisation’ Project. The community working group identified a health and wellbeing hub as one of the most important interventions required to transform and revitalise their community.

Stage 1 of this project has been made possible through a $15 million grant from the Federal Government’s Growing Region’s Program and $2 million contribution from Council, which will see the construction of a two-story building and the activation of the ‘no wrong door approach’ to locally accessible services. We're now in the planning and design phase and will be seeking input from the community.

To deliver the future stages for the community, Council will require significant further investment from the State and / or Federal Government.

How you can get involved

Now that the construction of Stage 1 of the hub has been funded, we’re checking in with the community to hear how you see yourself, your friends and family accessing services and using the community spaces at the new hub. Your feedback will be used to help us plan the project and create the best outcomes for users and future users of the services at the Hub.

Share Your Thoughts: We invite you to share your ideas through our short survey

Pick up a hard copy: If you prefer to complete the survey on paper, hard copies are available at any Customer and Library Service Centre . Alternatively, call us at 5734 6200 to request a copy be sent to you.

What can be influenced

What can't be influenced

  • The design of the outdoor spaces
  • Spaces required for health and wellbeing services

Closing Date

Don't miss your chance to have your say before this round of consultation closes at 9am Friday 12 July.
