Community working group - expressions of interest now open
Council is seeking expressions of interest for the Seymour Revitalisation Community Working Group.
This Community Working Group will provide direct input into the development of a business case which will seek to deliver future government investment in Seymour.
The Seymour Revitalisation project is an important partnership project which brings varies State Government Departments together with Council and the community to achieve:
- The development of a business case for future investment in Seymour (being led by Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning)
- Important improvements to Chittick Park, Goulburn Park and Kings Park
- The next stage of a feasibility assessment for linking Seymour to the Great Victorian Rail Trail at Tallarook
- The Getting Seymour Business Back on Track event (being led by Seymour Railway Heritage Centre)
The Community Working Group will focus on inputting into the business case for future government investment, as well as helping to communicate with members of the broader community.
Council is inviting nominations from all community members.
It is anticipated there will be up to five meetings and some site visits with the first meeting to be held in February 2019, and the final meeting to be held in November 2019.
We're looking for a mix of people who have an interest in any of the following areas:
- Sport, recreation and open space
- Transport
- Natural environment and heritage
- Business, commerce and industry
- Community and health
- Education
- Tourism
