Volunteers wanted!
Mitchell Shire Council are looking for volunteers passionate about promoting positive ageing throughout our community. As a Seniors Newsletter volunteer, you will be responsible for contributing interesting content to the bi-monthly newsletter, distributing hard copies of the newsletter throughout our municipality and helping to grow the online database of subscribers so that the newsletter can continue to grow as an ongoing sustainable activity for the Shire.
A minimum of two volunteers are required:
North Ward volunteer: To deliver newsletters within the areas of Broadford and Seymour
South Ward volunteer: To deliver newsletters within the areas of Wallan and Kilmore
Expected hours
Approximately 3 hours on a bi-monthly basis for collecting, sorting and delivering newsletters across your designated areas within the Shire. The day, time and location for where this could take place is negotiable and can be flexible to your personal requirements to undertake the role.
It is expected that you will contribute roughly 1hr per week in your own time, working towards growing the online database and collecting interesting content to submit for Mitchell Shire Council to include in the newsletter.
