Road renaming proposal - Mangalore

Consultation has concluded

PROPOSAL TO NAME GOVERNMENT ROAD NEAR MANGALORE TO KOOKABURRA LANE

Mitchell Shire Council is proposing to name a currently unnamed government road which runs alongside the west side of the Melbourne-Shepparton rail line from the Mangalore Road at its northern point to the Hume Freeway in the South (approximately 4.7km).

This name proposal has been requested to enable better identification of properties accessed by this road for service delivery and emergency response.

We're currently seeking community feedback on this proposal to name the road Kookaburra Lane.

Submissions will be considered in accordance with the Victorian Government's Naming rules for places in Victoria.

Submissions close Thursday 17 November.
