Road renaming proposal - Graves Street, Kilmore

Mitchell Shire Council is proposing to rename the section of Graves Street, Kilmore that is located north of Allen Street. In February 2019, Council released a number of names for consideration. Following previous consultation, community members have identified a name of "Doolans Lane".

The name recognises the Doolan Family, long standing community members with historical ties to the proposed area affected by the name change.

We are now seeking input on that name.

    Doolans Lane survey

    Mitchell Shire Council is proposing to rename the section of Graves Street, Kilmore that is located north of Allen Street to Doolans Lane.

    Before considering this proposal further, Council is seeking input from the community. 

    The name “Doolans Lane” recognises the Doolan Family, long standing community members with historical ties to the proposed area affected by the name change.

    The proposed name change will ensure that the naming of this section of road will comply with the Australian/New Zealand Standard for Rural and Urban Addressing (AS/NZS 4819:2011) and the naming rules for places in Victoria.
