Road name proposal - Old Dairy Lane

We're proposing to rename part of Ferguson Street Broadford.
Ferguson Street runs roughly parallel to the railway line in Broadford with sections of it on both sides that are not physically connected. Council is proposing to rename the section that is on the western side that runs between Hamilton Street and Murchison Street.
Earlier this year, Council asked the community to provide their thoughts on 3 different names and street types, the preferred option that came from this consultation was Old Dairy Lane.
We were also asked multiple times to consider using Green Street as the new name. Unfortunately, we are unable to use this as there is an existing Green Street in Kilmore that is too close and would not be allowed under the Naming Rules for Places In Victoria. These are the rules set by the State Government that must be followed in all naming processes.
We would now like you to tell us your thoughts on the proposal to rename this section of Ferguson Street to Old Dairy Lane.
Renaming this section of Ferguson Street is necessary as it does not connect to the main section of the street which may cause confusion to people and emergency services in locating the correct addresses. There are no changes being proposed to Ferguson Street on the eastern side of the railway line.
