The aim of the Mitchell Shire Volunteer Advisory Committee is to provide advice and feedback to ensure volunteering is encouraged, supported and recognised within Mitchell Shire. The purpose of the committee will be to:
Raise awareness of the importance of volunteering within the Shire for all volunteer involving organisations, community groups and sporting clubs
Provide feedback and advise on issues which impact upon volunteering within the municipality
Promote and embed good practices and principles regarding volunteer development and management across the Shire
Support members through information sharing and mentoring to build on our collective skills, knowledge, experience, resources and expertise
