BIODIVERSITY IN MITCHELL - YOUR SAY

Mitchell Shire Council is developing a Biodiversity Strategy.  The project covers all areas of Mitchell Shire including urban, rural and growth area

Stage 1 of the process,  the Biodiversity Asset Report, is nearing completion.  This report identifies key biodiversity assets and strategic habitat corridors thought the Shire

The data from Stage 1 will inform Stage 2 – the development of a Biodiversity Strategy.

The desired outcome of the new strategy is a data driven approach to maintaining and restoring Mitchell’s biodiversity assets, and connectivity between habitat patches.

Before commencing the development of the Strategy Council would like to know what the community values about Mitchell’s biodiversity and is seeking your ideas for how biodiversity can be better protected and enhanced.
