Kilmore streetscape rejuvenation

Mitchell Shire Council is preparing to begin a $3.37 million streetscape upgrade in Sydney Street, Kilmore between Clarke Street and Bourke Street.
The project will breathe new life into Kilmore’s historic commercial precinct, renew civic pride and help to support businesses and jobs.
What's planned?
- New colourful trees and plants
- New and enhanced pedestrian crossing points
- New stone paving at the pedestrian crossing points
- New and enhanced street furniture
- A new heritage colour scheme
- A reduction in Sydney Street parking, but improved signage to nearby parking
- Slight changes to heritage light poles (heritage style for existing poles)
- Promotional banners and motifs
- Town entry signs (design only)
