We're proposing to define Emu Flat as locality.
The neighbourhood of Emu Flat sits centrally between Tooborac, Pyalong and Nulla Vale, and is the location of two historically significant buildings: Emu Flat Uniting Church and the former State School.
Recognising Emu Flat as a locality also benefits our emergency service providers, enabling improved location requirements.
Submissions need to meet the Victorian Government's Naming Rules for Places in Victoria. This is a statutory requirement for naming roads, features, and localities.
Submissions close 9am, Monday 23 May.
