Mitchell Shire Council has released its draft Economic Development Strategy 2026–2030, and we want to hear from you.

As Victoria's fastest growing municipality, Mitchell Shire is uniquely positioned to turn growth into real economic opportunity. Our proximity to Melbourne, access to major transport and freight corridors, available developable land, and an expanding workforce create a foundation that few regions can match.

This strategy sets a clear framework across four focus areas:

1. Increasing opportunities for investment in local business and industry

2. Increasing opportunities for local employment

3. Increasing opportunities for tourism and the visitor economy

4. Developing and leveraging partnerships for economic development and investment

This is your opportunity to have a say on the direction of our local economy for the next four years.

How to get involved

This is your opportunity to help shape the future of our local economy.
