Mitchell Shire Council is keen to hear from our community about the future of our libraries. We've developed a Draft Mitchell Library Strategy that sets our vision for the delivery of high quality and contemporary library services for our community.

Council is committed to delivering collections, programs and services that enhance literacy, wellbeing and social inclusion.

As our community grows, we want to grow and transform the way library services are delivered to ensure every Mitchell resident has access to the library services they want, need and deserve.

Over the next five years, we plan to continue to deliver community-centred library services, while progressively building our capability and capacity to meet the community’s future library needs.
