Project update:

  • The Chittick Park Master Plan was adopted by Council in August 2024. 

  • The Chittick Park Master Plan provides a road map to guide future development and improvements. The Master Plan has been developed to meet the current and future sporting and recreational needs of Seymour and surrounds, as well as compliment the new Seymour Hub and enhance the relationship to Anzac Avenue. 

  • The Chittick Park Master Plan has been informed through site review and building condition assessments, needs analysis, testing of preliminary concept plans with the key stakeholders and a thorough process of community engagement and consultation. 

  • The total estimated cost for the full implementation of the master plan is $17.55 Million and the practicality and order of implementation will be subject to a number of factors and criteria before proceeding, including: 

  • Availability of funding 
  • Current and future priorities of Council, the user groups, other stakeholders, and the broader needs of the community 

  • Further investigation, detailed designs and consultation.
