The activation of Broadford park and playspaces project will see the development of two playgrounds in Broadford. The project will include a new playspace in the community services precinct and an upgrade of the Memorial Park playground in the main street.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?

Following conversations with various community groups in Broadford, the proposed concept design has been developed and is now ready for feedback from the wider community.

Your input will help finalise plans with the landscape architect.

FUNDING PARTNERS

This project is funded by the Victorian Government's Growing Suburbs Fund. The funding also includes some new outdoor fitness equipment along walking tracks around Broadford. The Outdoor Fitness Equipment element of this project will go to community consultation separately and at a later date.

    The current play space is well used by children walking to school, Post Office users, residents and visitors to the town.

    The proposed work will include:

    • play equipment
    • shade sail
    • picnic table setting
    • fencing

    This will add to the existing picnic table setting, bins, seating, toilets and parking.

    Social Family Recreation Space landscape designs

    The land that adjoins the Broadford Living and Learning Centre will feature a new nature playground and sensory garden while also improving connecting pathways and the community garden beds.

    The proposed work will include:

    • sensory garden
    • picnic table setting
    • pathways
    • bins
    • tree plantings
    • seating
