The final Anzac Avenue, Seymour – Streetscape Master Plan was adopted by Council on 16 September 2024. 

  • The final Anzac Avenue, Seymour – Streetscape Master Plan was adopted by Council on 16 September 2024. 

  • The Master Plan highlights the importance of the Anzac Avenue in Seymour and provides a vision to guide future transport management and landscape improvements. 

 Key components of the Master Plan include: 

  • Provision for the reinstatement of the Avenue of Honour 

  • Maintenance of the current four (4) lane carriageway which continues to accommodate the heavy vehicle route, 

  • Intersection safety upgrades at Goulburn Street, Oak Street, Delatite Road and Kobyboyn Road, 

  • Connecting cycling infrastructure from Anzac Avenue to Tallarook Street via the rail viaduct, 

  • Implementation of an off-road shared user path (SUP) for the full extent of Anzac Avenue; and 

  • Public realm improvements at key locations throughout the streetscape. Principally at Chittick Place, Anzac Village and Kobyboyn Road/eastern township entry.
