Are you passionate about heritage? Want to give something new a go and really make a difference in your community? Why not join the Mitchell Heritage Advisory Committee?
Applications are now open for up to eight new members to join the committee.
The committee aims to tap into the knowledge, skills and experiences of community members to provide Council with strategic advice, recommendations and promotion of heritage in Mitchell Shire.
Representatives will be appointed by Council for a period of two years and are chosen on the basis of;
a demonstrated interest or expertise in heritage and local history
live and/or work within the municipality, or have a demonstrated connection to the municipality through professional, technical or industry alliances
understanding of the role of local government in heritage and local historical issues
relevant experience in committees and/or demonstrated ability to participate in, and constructively contribute to a group, committee or organisation
ability to regularly attend and participate in meetings as scheduled
Applications close 17 September 2018.

Mitchell Shire recently called for members to join the Heritage Advisory Committee for 2018-2020.

These committee members represent individuals with an interest in heritage as well as representatives from Broadford and District Historical Society, Kilmore Historical Society and Seymour and District Historical Society.
