Project Closed: Draft Capital Works Program (2026/27–2029/30)
Overview
Mitchell Shire Council invited community feedback on our draft capital works program, outlining an $855 million investment over 10 years, including more than $245 million in new projects over the next four years. In the first year alone, we secured $23 million in grants and external contributions to help deliver a $54 million works program, including 31 new projects.
The program focuses on renewing and building infrastructure across the shire—including roads, footpaths, walking and cycling paths, bridges, community facilities, sporting infrastructure, parks, and playgrounds.
