Wandong/Heathcote Junction Structure Plan unanimously adopted

1. Acknowledge and thank all stakeholders, members of the Community Liaison Group and members of the wider community for their significant contribution to the preparation of the Wandong and Heathcote Junction Structure Plan.

2. Adopt the Wandong and Heathcote Junction Structure Plan 2016, subject to the following action being included in Section 3.2 Land Uses & Character and Section 5.3 Specific Action Implementation:

“Investigate the possibilities of a rural residential rezoning of properties along the eastern side of Broadhurst Lane, following the gazettal of the Public Acquisition Overlay for the proposed Kilmore-Wallan Bypass project and subject to a proponent-lead amendment which demonstrates land supply need and consistency with the Structure Plan principles”.

3. Request Council officers to commence preparing the statutory documentation to implement the Wandong and Heathcote Junction Structure Plan 2016 into the Mitchell Planning Scheme pursuant to Section 5.1 of the Wandong and Heathcote Junction Structure Plan via a future Planning Scheme Amendment.
