Tooborac Recreation Reserve Master Plan
Tooborac Recreation Reserve is an important sporting and community hub for the local community, and we’re inviting you to share your thoughts on its future.
Mitchell Shire Council has prepared a Draft Tooborac Recreation Reserve Master Plan to guide future improvements to the reserve. The plan identifies a range of opportunities to improve existing facilities and support the ongoing needs of local clubs, residents and visitors.
Community feedback gathered through earlier drop-in sessions, workshops and research has helped shape the draft plan. We are now seeking further feedback before the plan is finalised.
What’s Included in the Draft Master Plan?
The draft plan outlines a range of possible future improvements to strengthen the reserve as a community and recreation destination, which may include:
Improved entry and creation of a forecourt for the hall and reserve
Relocation of play equipment and installation of new equipment
Formal overnight camping area with RV and caravan parking with supporting toilet infrastructure
Accessible path connections throughout the reserve
Informal ‘kick about’ area
Realigned car parking
Improved recreation facilities
Opportunities to support future community use and growth
Prioritised projects for staged delivery over time

What Happens Next?
All feedback received during the consultation period will be reviewed and considered before the Draft Master Plan is finalised.
The final plan will help guide future investment, planning and funding applications for upgrades at Tooborac Recreation Reserve.
