Social Justice Advisory Committee - Expressions of Interest

Is having an inclusive, fair and well-connected community important to you? If you answered yes, then our Social Justice Advisory Committee could be for you.

We're calling for Expressions of Interest from local not for profit agencies, organisations and/or community members interested in social justice and human rights to join the Mitchell Shire Council Social Justice Advisory Committee.

The aim of the committee is to promote the vision in the Mitchell Shire Social Justice Framework ‘to build and inclusive, equitable and well-connected community based on the principle of fairness for all.’

The committee will raise awareness, develop partnerships and lead advocacy efforts for Mitchell’s Social Justice priorities.

If you are committed to social justice in Mitchell Shire, you are invited to send through an Expression Of Interest.

“Social Justice is recognition and action to support the rights of all people. All people have equal economic, social and cultural rights, regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, class, religion, disability or sexuality”

(Mitchell Shire Council Social Justice Framework 2017-2021)

JOINING IS FREE AND AS A COMMITTEE MEMBER YOU WILL:
