Why are we asking for input over the Christmas/New Year period?
We wouldn't normally consult over the Christmas/New Year period.
Under state legislation, we are required to provide 30 days' notice at this stage of consultation.
Given this project has been going on for nearly a year, we didn't want to delay it any further.
People directly affected by the proposed change have been contacted in mid November.
The opportunity for the wider community to provide input will be promoted in November and December.
