Pyalong bus shelter

Project update: November 2024

We are now looking to improve the amenity of the shelter, by installing back and side walls to enhance protection from the elements. 

We are also exploring installation of a mural within the shelter. We anticipate this will take place early 2025.

Project background

Mitchell Shire Council sought community input on designs for two bus shelters at new bus stops on High Street, Pyalong.

Council funded construction of the new shelter and sought input on:

• preferred shelter type
• the possibility of incorporating an art activation around the shelter to enhance and complement the visual appeal of the area.
