Pyalong bus shelter

Consultation has concluded. For information on this project, please contact Council on 5734 6200.

About the project

Mitchell Shire Council is seeking input on designs for two bus shelters at new bus stops on High Street, Pyalong.

Council is funding construction of the new shelters and is seeking input on:

  • preferred shelter type
  • the possibility of incorporating an art activation around the shelter to enhance and complement the visual appeal of the area.

Your input will help to choose a shelter from three options available and decide whether to explore possible art opportunities.

Who will use the bus shelters

As a smaller rural township, Pyalong does not have a local secondary school. Students need to travel some distance to attend various secondary schools by bus.

The main people using the bus shelters will be secondary students as well as a smaller number of primary school children who travel by bus to schools outside of Pyalong.

Additionally, the bus shelters may be used by people accessing bus services offered by Public Transport Victoria and private bus charters.
