Following community and agency consultation to Colin Officer Flora Reserve Management plan was adopted by Council on the 18 August 2025.
thankyou to all who contributed to the development of the plan.
The Colin Officer Flora reserve, next to the Broadford Golf Course, is a special 13.7-hectare area with important environmental, social, and cultural values. It's home to a variety of orchids, wildflowers, and more than 100 native bird species and rare and threatened species such as the Golden Sun Moth and Gang Gang cockatoo.
Following community and stakeholder engagement, the Draft Colin Officer Flora Reserve Management Plan was made available for public comment. A summary of the engagement can be downloaded from the links on the right.
Comments have been considered and the final management plan is to be considered by Council at the 18 August 2025 Council meeting. A link to the Council agenda can be found here The Colin Officer Flora Reserve Management Plan is item 9.1 (page 30).
