We have developed our proposed Council Budget for 2024/25 and would like to know what you think
We would like to thank those who visited us at our pop ups and provided feedback and ideas, we spoke to over 100 people and received 66 submissions, 41 during the consultation period and a further 25 via our Suggest a project tool.
We have now developed our proposed budget for the next year .
This budget is about more than just numbers, it's a strategic plan for allocating resources to essential services and infrastructure our community needs both now and in the future. This years budget is $190 million for the delivery of essential services and infrastructure for our community.
Some of the project highlights from the proposed budget include:
- Wallara Waters Integrated Family and Children's Centre
- Greater Beveridge Community Centre expansion
- Beveridge Central Active Open Space
- Seymour Tennis Complex – Enclosure 1
- Beveridge Recreation Reserve Activation
- Raised Pedestrian Crossing at Station Street and Wallis Street, Seymour
- Wellington Street, Wallan, road construction
- Darraweit Road, Wallan, road construction
- Old Goulburn River Bridge, Seymour - Restoration Works and reinstatement of pedestrian bridge
- Allen Street and Sutherland Street, Kilmore - Missing Link Footpath
- Main Road (Service Road), Tallarook - Missing Link Footpath

We encourage you to read the proposed budget and financial plan, then register here if you would like to attend a Questions and Hearings Committee meeting for the Proposed Budget on 20 May 2024. Registrations close at noon on Friday 17 May.
Next steps
The budget is scheduled to go to a Council meeting on Monday 27 May for adoption.
