Budget Development and 4-Year Capital Works Program Consultation 2024/25

Consultation has concluded

We're developing our 2024/25 Council Budget and 4-Year Capital Works Program and we would like your input.

This budget is about more than just numbers, it's a strategic plan for allocating resources to essential services and infrastructure our community needs both now and in the future.

Your community, your ideas

Your input is valuable in shaping our community's development. Share your vision and help us identify priorities for our Capital Works Program.

Investing in our future

We're committing a significant investment for the future, including $228 million in new capital works projects over the next four years. The draft 2024/25 Capital Works Budget features $23.4 million in new funding from grants and external contributions, enabling us to deliver a robust works program with 16 new projects.

Planned Projects for 2024/25 include:

  • Wallara Waters Integrated Family and Children's Centre
  • Greater Beveridge Community Centre expansion
  • Missing Links Footpath: Northern Highway, Wallan
  • Beveridge Central Active Open Space – stage 1
  • Seymour Tennis Complex – Enclosure 1
  • Beveridge Recreation Reserve Activation – stage 2
  • Raised Pedestrian Crossing at Station Street and Wallis Street, Seymour
  • Wellington Street, Wallan, road construction
  • Darraweit Road, Wallan, road construction

The projects reflect our commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of our residents, connecting them to the programs and services they need, close to home.

These plans have been developed in line with feedback from the Mitchell 2050 Vision, Council Plan, and other strategies, projects and suggestions over the past few years.
