Nominate to join the Community Roads Funding Reference Group

We are looking for eight community members who can help:

  • develop advocacy strategies and initiatives to attract more funding for roads in our area; and
  • shine a spotlight on some of the larger government road projects that our region needs.

Council is on the lookout for residents, ratepayers and people who work or study in Mitchell Shire who want to help shape the future of our large-scale road network.

Our community has extensive knowledge about our roads, how roads are used and what we will need in the future.

We want to tap into this with our first-ever Community Roads Funding Reference Group.

Nominations

You can nominate by completing an online or hard copy

Nominations need to be received by 9am on Monday 30 September.

Are you passionate about making a difference within your community? We are now calling for nominations for community advocates to join Mitchell Shire's Community Roads Funding Reference Group to work on the identification and implementation of advocacy strategies to tell the story of our vast roads network.

We need to proactively fit out our region with improved roads infrastructure before we are left retroactively responding to concerns in the decades ahead.

Council is on the lookout for residents, ratepayers or workers who want to help shape the future of our large-scale roads network. Our community has extensive knowledge in roads, how they are used and what we will need in the future. We want to tap into this and find eight experienced community members willing to join the first-ever Community Roads Funding Reference Group.

This group will be able to provide an additional channel for Council to support, provide feedback and advocate to increase available funding to both the Shire's road network as well as state and federally controlled arterial networks.
